Eligibility and Entry Requirement FAQs
Yes – you need to be a current MFAA member or an employee of a current MFAA member. Refer to the entry kit for each category for specific membership requirements via the categories tab in the top menu bar.
No – the MFAA Excellence Awards are free to enter for MFAA members only.
Each award category has a unique set of entry criteria. Please refer to the Categories tabs to view the entry kit for each award category. The entry kit includes the specific entry criteria for the category and the questions to be answered.
The qualifying period is 1 January 2025 – 31 December 2025. All examples and evidence cited in any awards entries should be from this period.
Yes. If you are a finalist the photos and logos submitted will be displayed on screen at the event.
Recommended format - either jpeg or png file type. Size approx. 2-3MB
There are 26 award categories that cover brokers, businesses, lenders and support staff. The full list of the awards categories can be found within each of the category pages via the top menu bar.
Yes, you are welcome to submit in more than one category. You cannot enter more than once in a category.
Submission FAQs
All entries are to be completed online through the awards submission portal – click on the Enter Now button. Submissions by email will not be accepted.
You need to create a separate account for each individual entrant. Do not enter all of them under one account.
An award submission can take between 90 minutes and half a day to complete.
No. Once submitted, no further changes can be made to your entry.
No. It is very important that submissions are submitted on time. Please refer to the Key Dates page for closing dates and times.

Judging and finalists FAQs
The judges will be looking for high-quality submissions that address the selection criteria against the award category in a clear and compelling manner. Please note that the judges will deduct points from submissions with poor grammar and spelling, that are not written in a clear and compelling manner, or that don’t address the criteria. The judges may also deduct points for answers that exceed the word limit. Review our submission tips to help you create a compelling submission.
No. The judges and MFAA staff will not provide any feedback on submissions due to the large volume of entries.
Submissions are judged based on the entrant's ability to answer the entry questions effectively. These questions are designed to gauge excellence and professionalism – not just volume and revenue. Submissions are judged by a panel of experienced industry and non-industry experts.
All judges will have a personal online dashboard to judge their allocated awards online. Entrants are not allowed access to judges. The awards judging process is also independently audited by Hall Chadwick.
All awards information is audited and verified by the auditor Hall Chadwick.
Finalists will receive an email to their nominated email address when finalists are announced in early April 2026. Finalists’ names will also be published on this website and in MFAA News.
Winners receive a trophy and the right to use an approved MFAA Excellence Award Winners logo in their branding. Finalists receive a digital certificate and the right to use an approved MFAA Excellence Award Finalist logo in their branding.
Winners will be announced at their respective state’s MFAA Excellence Awards event. State winners will become the finalists for the National Awards. National award winners will be announced at the National Excellence Awards event. Refer to dates.
The MFAA Excellence Awards for each state will be presented in May/June. State winners are automatically listed as national finalists. The National Awards will be presented in July. Please refer to dates page.
